This was a really cute one! I listened to the audiobook, and thoroughly enjoyed all the voice actors/narrators! They did a great job!
This cute little book follows Faith as she adjusts to life after her divorce. After swearing up and down that she would never return to her hometown, she is forced to due to her father's health. I am honestly so thrilled that Rome and Faith got back together, but my goodness i felt so bad for him that he didn't get to leave the hometown too. Both Faith and Rome have some traumaaaaa, hunny. Both of them need a therapist, immediately. I feel like the romance was there and the swooning was there! I felt like the thread of life not turning out the way that you imagined as a teenager is POWERFUL and the coping/active grief of that plus aging parents was beautifully done.
I feel like the book started off very quickly and pulled me in but was not gripping throughout the story if that makes sense. I did not really care for Ashton's mini story line, and I felt at points that his story could've been left out altogether. I also wish there was a little bit more holiday cheer and Christmas vibes.
