Everyone and their mother told me I should read this book. Maybe is the desire to feel intellectual that got people hyping it up as much as I saw they did. The thing is this book gave me nothing, but a good prose. Nothing happens, the deaths didn’t affected me because I didn’t empathize with any character, not even “Child” (also could they really not give her a name?).
The amount of questions without answers there are doesn’t feel like it was for the sake of the readers enjoyment, it felt as if the author had a concept she wanted to write about but she didn’t bother to dive any further in the “why’s”. Plot wise it was plain. Character wise it wasn’t better.
Idk, it made me felt nothing. And I think that’s the worse thing you could say about a book.
