Destination Anywhere by Sara Barnard

5.0

Destination Anywhere follows Peyton, who has spent her school years alone, bullied and friendless for the most part. Having a chance at friendship didn't work out well for her, so now she is on a plane to Canada with only her backpack and sketchbook with her to keep her company.

Sara Barnard is one of my favourite authors due to the relatable themes in her novels and the amount of emotion that comes with them! The bullying that the main character goes through (maybe not to the later extent) is something that most can relate to, which makes Peyton such a sympathetic character.
The novel switches between different POV's and I found this to be quite engaging as a reader! This novel focuses on themes such as bullying, identity and adventure - this book had sprinkles of romance but the romance wasn't central to the plot which is something that I really enjoyed!
