The Whispers by Ashley Audrain

I honestly really enjoyed this book. I wasn't sure what to expect going into it. I knew that Whitney was a red herring, but she needed serious help. I don't understand why she's a mother if she hates everything that kids come with. I hope that Xavier tells someone what his mother was doing to them, so justice is served. I did like the insight this book gave into women. All of the things that the 4 women were dealing with were so sad, but relatable to so many. I feel so bad for Mara. You can tell how much she loved her son despite his differences. I can say that I too wouldn't have known how to react when my husband did if I were in her shoes. Blair is justified in her thoughts. I feel her as if she has nothing going for her, but she should also be okay with letting Aiden go. Finally, Rebecca, I have mixed feelings for her. I do feel bad about her continuous miscarriages, but as a person, she was a little creepy around kids. I enjoyed this book and thought the plot was incredible. A recommended read.
