Make the Season Bright
by Ashley Herring Blake
One hell of an emotional Rollercoaster!
I have never read a book with the trope "Second Chance", but this one just stood out to me, and I don't regret it.
Two childhood bestfriends, lovers and almost married. This just screams for disaster, and the book delivered just what it promised! A bit of laughter, a lot of regret, a lot of longing, a bit of jealousy but ultimately a whole lot of love.
The characters were really well crafted. (And I always like it when they are on the cover, it is so much easier to picture them. And I especially loved Lolas hair.) The nicknames Lola and Bright just made everything more Intimate. Every time Brighton called Charlotte Lola, I just about melted.
Ultimately their song was my undoing!
I recommend this book to someone who is looking for a bit of Christmas spirit, Second Chances and singing your heart out to an audience and being heard.
