Absolutely loved everything about this book. Graphic novels are not my thing (visual art isn't my forte and it takes me longer to read than a "standard" text-only book) but this was poignant, elegant, thoughtful, hopeful, and full of love. Partially told through three separate fairy tales, glimpses through Tien's life and his mother's, it is beautifully rendered and written. Definitely recommend: even if graphic novels aren't your jam usually.
