as cringey, predictable and shallow as this was, at least i didn’t feel bored or pinning for the book to be over.
though short, the journey was a sweet one, but definitely aimed for younger audiences.
i found the writing to be terribly cliche, and the pattern of having cliff hangers (literally and metaphorically) after every single chapter just got tiresome and made me not even care what happened.
(the amount of times a chapter ended with something along the lines of “and then, i/we were falling…” was more than i could count on one hand haha)
the characters seriously lacked any depth and things moved very fast. it was a good exploration of enemies to lovers but just not in a hard hitting way.
overall like i said though, it was entertaining and i want every bored, but just didn’t click with me quite like lynette’s other books… i still love u tho miss noni hah <3
