This is a book that I would recommend to my 14-year-old brother AND my 80-year-old grandmother. There is something in here for everyone. "Runner" is suspenseful and moves quickly (I read it in less than two hours) but it address serious issues and leaves a lot to be discussed. This would be an awesome book for a middle school/high school book club. (Or any book club - I just have a hard time seeing an adult book club giving it a chance.)
