I could not expect to finish an 800-page giant in less than 3 weeks, reading 3 other books in parallel. If the previous parts of the series are a children fairy tale with a couple of dark moments, this book is just pure darkness. No heroes, no happy endings. Exactly how I like my books (sorry).

Despite being a fantasy book, it shows you the world as it really is: rough, unfair, violent. Sometimes the ones we love die for no reason, and we do not even have a chance to say goodbye. Some people whom we adored show us their disgusting sides. People whom we hated are actually not that bad at all. Harry and friends are becoming adults, facing all the gray shades of the world around them.

I loved the book so much, and I could not put it down for a second. It gave me so many emotions that I do not even have words to describe! Visiting Neville’s parents in the hospital, Harry’s emotional breakdown, Snape’s teenage years, Sirius.. There were so many chapters that made my eyes wet. The moment where Dumbledore explains everything to Harry destroyed me completely.

A huge recommendation! If it’s not the best book of the whole series, then at least one of the best. I am so happy that I decided to reread the entire series this autumn!

⚠️ P.S. If you're diving into the wizarding world, borrow the Harry Potter books from a friend or your local library. Let’s not fund JKR’s transphobia. For more on that, check out my first HP post.
