While I didn’t predict the big twist right away, there were so many moments that seemed significant but went nowhere… maybe more will be fleshed out in the second book. I also felt there were tertiary characters thrown in haphazardly and that didn’t steer the story in any impactful way. And they’re supposed to be in school… but there’s only 2-3 scenes in a classroom setting that provided minimal info to move the plot along. There’s holes, but I kept reading because it’s a mystery I wanted to see unfold. The lust did not move me at all. The relationship is wrong is many ways, and it’s not just because the main characters are “flawed”.
