Golden Fool by Robin Hobb

4.0

Definitely a middle book in a trilogy - lots of following up on the previous book, plenty of setup for the third.
But kind of a nice breather between the whirlwind of [b:Fool's Errand|68488|Fool's Errand (Tawny Man, #1)|Robin Hobb|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1360508839s/68488.jpg|2406151] and what I recall as being some pretty intense stuff in [b:Fool's Fate|45108|Fool's Fate (Tawny Man, #3)|Robin Hobb|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1388181998s/45108.jpg|2960725]. Plenty of time to get annoyed with our friend Fitz, and a good amount of Hobb's sharp observations of him and her other excellent characters.
