Dyed and Gone to Heaven by Aimee Nicole Walker

4.0

Each installment just gets better and better. Josh and Gabe (and by extension their friends and family) are more than characters in a story to me. They've become voices I look forward to hearing in my head, making my RL day a more fun a joyous one. These two had such a rough start in life and to witness them take a chance with each other, love each other and grow into this dynamic couple is a beautiful thing.
They talk to each other, they make no assumptions and it makes my heart happy to see Josh really come into his own because Gabe helped to restore his self-confidence. Gabe gently prodded Josh to let him in and josh thank goodness eventually did, exposing all his past hurts ...Trust. He trusts Gabe. He trusts that Gabe is not ashamed of him nor embarrassed by him.

The romance keeps me coming back for more but aside from the romance the mystery is intriguing as well. This particular angle is something you have to read for yourself, I don’t want to spoil it. I will say it makes me want to know more, which is a good thing since mysteries are not my thing. It takes twists and turns I never expected and there's more on the horizon :)

Last but not least are Josh's ( and Gabe's) friends. Josh’s friends are absolutely lovable. They’re more than props to be used for comic relief. Whenever they appear on page, they make the scene come alive. They have become almost as important as Josh and Gabe. I love their side stories and am invested in their happiness. I cannot wait to see what becomes of Chaz, Kyle, Meredith, Adrian and now, Jonathon.

This series is such a fun read. Gabe, Josh and the gang have all come a long way. I look forward to every new adventure they embark on. This is another slam dunk by Aimee Nicole Walker! Book four where are you?!
Happy reading!
