“Six of Crows” is one of my favorite books. I fell in love with the characters and honestly they have well thought out backstories. Some parts are a bit confusing and it’s a little hard to get into but I think it makes up for it in the rest. 
Also - a lot of the world building doesn’t make as much sense without reading the “Shadow and Bone” trilogy first but it’s not necessary in any way.
