The Unwanted Wife by Natasha Anders
4.0

4 - 4.5 stars.

I LOVED a good grovel filled with angst in a story and let me tell you, this story GAVE for me. Sandro and Theresa had a rocky start to their arranged marriage (both married for different reasons). Sandro absolutely hated Theresa and made her life a living hell. But as soon as he discovers the truth he spends the ENTIRETY of the remaining book groveling to win back Theresa. There is ALOT of drama so be prepared for it, a lot of things said that will hurt the reader but it's so worth it.

I absolutely loved Theresa. She was weak people pleaser in the beginning, all she lived for was to make her husband and father happy, but she realized that by doing that she is extremely unhappy. We see her turn into a strong willed, stubborn person who begins to voice her own opinion on things and learns to say no.

I honestly loved Sandro and Theresa's relationship and growth - they went from hating each other (secretly having feelings for each other) to being open and vulnerable to each other.

This is the kind of second chance romance I like to read. And i see myself re-reading again when I miss these characters.

I think the only thing that pushed this down from a 5 stars is the OW drama that I personally didn't think made sense. Didn't bother me too much but still wished we were given answers about why Sandro still saw her from time to time.
