And then, there’s Phoenix / Leo! That tattooed, scarred and smoking-hot man is so intense, dominant, primal and possessive. And that filthy mouth of his! Even more, he’s a caring and fiercely protective single father who will do everything in his power to protect his son. And he’s a business owner, who’s trying to bring his company back on its feet after an unfortunate incident that took the life of his son’s mother. Leo is one magnificent man and I couldn’t help but absolutely adore every single thing about him!
I loved everything that happened between Abigail and Leo! Abigail is looking for a monster to fulfill her darkest desires and make her forget. And, after one simple question, Leo seems the right man to make it all come true. I loved those two together. They are two broken people who've been through unimaginable tragedies but their broken pieces and dark needs fit so perfectly well together. So, what starts as a one night of dark passion, soon becomes something more when both realize that their single encounter will never be enough. And I was all in for every kinky, depraved and off-the-charts passionate moment they shared. Leo and Abigail were so perfect for each other - the delicate prey and the primal hunter. And, after everything both went through, they more than deserved to find healing, happiness and love together.
In addition, the storyline was fantastic and, with everything happening in Leo’s family, I was glued to the pages till the very end, curious to see when all the secrets will finally be revealed.
Overall, Bait is a fantastic, suspenseful, heartfelt, intense and depraved story and I absolutely loved every page of it!
