I really wanted to love this book, but I, unfortunately, did not. The whole thing felt like the narrator was just telling us what was happening & how she felt without really showing us. It lacked emotional depth. I didn’t feel this great love that she had with Wil, or the deep connection she had with her peaches & land. I really wasn’t connected to the main character or her story at all. It was very boring & pretty much nothing happened until the very end. I was actually getting interested in the story when she was being reunited with her son but of course the author decided to end the book before they even got to talk to each other.
