finally gave in to societal pressure and read acotar after it was recommended to me by two close friends. it is both better and worse than i expected somehow. i had super low expectations and came in with an open mind as i'm not much of a fantasy girly. i will say it was an easy read, as easy as can be with world building and such, but i'm left wondering how it can be that hyped for an average book at best. there was nothing extraordinary about it, tbh i'd rather read the hunger games again.
