The Wrong Bride by Catharina Maura
4.0

I picked up TUM on a whim & after reading the wrong bride, i’m fully convinced that i’ll love anything that Maura writes. Like TUM, I wanted to savor every page of the wrong bride. Heard of “right person, wrong time”? but if you ever wondered when the right time is & how it was gonna be like; the wrong bride is a perfect read. Raven & Ares were fated to be, Hannah was just a test of fate & Grandma Anne definitely had to right her wrongs. A lot of readers hated Grandma Anne cause she’s always meddling in every family-relations, but I never found her annoying. She seems like shes doing what she feel is best for her owns even if most can agree she goes on about it the wrong way. But can we talk about the Windsors’ family overall? I am a huge sucker for close knit siblings/family. The way the Windsors treat each other to the person they marry to is just so… comforting. My favorite scene is when all the Windsors’ siblings showed up to Silas’ house to be there for Raven. I hated the way her family continuously just takes & invalidated her when all she wants is to please them. I was proud when Raven started speaking up/standing up for herself & being selfish when it came to her happiness. I also loved the whole thing of “moment of honesty” shared between Raven & Ares! While Raven overthinks herself to death, I’m glad there was barely any miscommunication. They’re the definition of what communication should look like in a relationship. The smut is *chefs kiss* and I live for the drama in the series. This is easily one of my favorite series I’ve read this year!
