I love this series and it really kills me to give it four instead of five stars, but the presentation wasn't always the most effective, and the writing at times was juvenile even for a YA book. Conceptually, five stars easily. I liked the third installment better than the second but not quite as much as the first. I love the realistic portrayals of humanity in all its nuanced glory. It's refreshing to have consequences to characters' actions and follow through on their means of dealing with them, even in a negative capacity.
