Byron Visser is now my no. 1 book boy. This book is the perfect grumpy/sunshine, unrequited love, mutual pining thing I’ve ever read. Bryon is such an asshole but he also has SPD, and doesn’t quite get that he’s being too rude or blunt, but once it’s explained to him, he immediately apologizes and tries to fix it. And he CALLS WINNIE OUT ON HER SHIT. I feel like MMC’s in romance books too often just accept that they have to change everything and the woman is perfect, but he straight up tells her what’s up and what he deserves. Ugh. I love this book. The TikTok side was a little hard for me to get into, but it’s okay. I also feel like her childhood trauma could have been explained in a better way, I feel like I was constantly TOLD about it but never SHOWN how it affected her if that makes sense. But still, I loved it. Winnie was so sweet even if she needed to get her head on straight and treat her friends better & accept help. Such a good book.
