Ace: What Asexuality Reveals about Desire, Society, and the Meaning of Sex by Angela Chen

i think this is the first book i’ve ever read where i felt like i couldn’t give it a rating. it’s just so raw and personal that it feels weird to give it a numerical rating.

i learned a lot and i’m glad i read it. even though certain chapters (chapter seven) caused me to have a complete mental breakdown. i felt seen and it was a scary thing. so many emotions.

i would recommend this book to anyone, even those not on the ace spectrum. it’s a very informative read about both sexuality and asexuality and the intersectionality between those two and just about every other thing you can think of.
