I watched the movie on Netflix and was hooked. So when I found that it w as inspired by a comic and that the first part was free on Kindle; I got it.
The movie has pretty much copied the comic book at least in terms of the first part. So as I read it, I knew almost exactly what was going to happen. There are a few things left out but the significant stuff was there.
If you haven’t read this or watched the Netflix movie, it centres around 4 warriors that are immortal and go around saving lives for centuries when they are betrayed.
I love comics and graphic novels because they perfectly balance the value of an image with key phrases and dialogue that help love the story along and get to the heart of their message. It really does take some special talent to use a few words and images to tell a story that usually would need a few pages or chapters in a novel.
I need to read the rest of the issues; but I’d like to get the physical copies if possible.
