The Familiar by Leigh Bardugo

5.0

Damn it Leigh Bardugo, you've done it again. I loved the Six of Crows duology and I was all in on this book. As a Jew, I love a fantasy rooted in Jewish history. Luzia is a wonderful character, the setting is so clear and immersion without much exposition, and the story is compelling and propulsive. At first I didn't love the romance element but I ended up loving the central relationship at the end.
