I didn’t expect this book to end the way it did, and I have to give it credit for what it did. I didn’t love it overall, I had gotten a little tired of the drama of it all. But I did think that the author handled the war scene really well, and she did a good job of writing a nice ending without everything being wrapped in a nice tidy bow. I will say (and I feel this holds true for all of the books), what kept me going was the characters. I felt the characters were detailed and compelling, even when the story stalled.
