Journeys to the Other Side of the World: Further Adventures of a Young Naturalist by David Attenborough

4.0

I don't really enjoy non-fiction and this was no exception, despite the undisputed renown of its author, David Attenborough.
The writing style was very 'dry' and detailed - maybe because he needed to keep these chronicles for the institutes he worked for.
Eventually I did start to get caught up in the historical aspects of the way of life of people he encountered during his journeys with his cameraman - including in the extreme north of Australia. In the long run I suppose it is a good thing that much of that way of life in various countries has been recorded, as now it has largely disappeared. It did seem rather uncomfortable, though - the white men coming in to observe what could be seen as primitive civilisations.
