This was refreshing YA RH book. I rarely read contemporary RH books and I try to stay away from YA RH books altogether but there was something about the description of this book that called to me.

This book is ultimately about healing, acceptance and love. Our main MC, Charlie not only witnessed the brutal killing of her family but barely escaped with her life, sustaining severe damage to her vocal cords and esophagus leaving her unable to speak. Everyone in her small town pretty much abandons her including her so called best friend.

Charlie is moved to a foster home two hours away to a new small town, her new foster mother Sophia lost her husband a few years ago and they never had kids, I loved her right from the beginning.

When Charlie meets her new group of friends, I loved them right away, how they rallied around her giving her all that she needed to heal. The most refreshing part for me was how not all of them became part of her Harem, Trent was mature enough to know he couldn't handle that and was content to be one of her best friends.

A good RH if your not looking for sexy times, strictly healing, love and cuddles.
