Murder in Mesopotamia by Agatha Christie

3.0

A 3.5. The setting of the story really excited me. However, this might be the first book of Christie's in which the age of the book was palpable---or maybe I just never paid enough attention before. I only mean that there were a few statements (by way of dialogue) that didn't leave the best of tastes in my mouth. Poirot's share in the story is minimal, and it felt like a quick short mystery. The denouement itself was par Christie/Poirot standards. Overall, a nice book I enjoyed breezing through.
