I am shocked I actually really got into a stuff your airpods day book I got for free! Call me cynical but I didn't think that would happen. This one got me though.

Piper is a bounty hunter in New Chicago, where humans are lowest on the totem pole and everything is too expensive to purchase - food, clothing, cars, etc. She's got to make a living some way. So when she gets a bounty offer of $500,000, she's all in. All she has to do is stop a witches coven from summoning a demon. Easy, right? Oh, and kill all the witches. Things go astray when Piper miscalculates the timing of the summoning and ends up smack dab in the middle of it, right beside the demon. She makes a deal with the demon and things go crazy from there.

This was super engaging. It has witches and demons and all kinds of magic. Unfortunately it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger so I have no idea how it all shakes out, but the enemies to lovers piece it is advertised as must not happen until further on in the series. I don't know if I'll keep going with this, but it was a fun ride.
