Queen of clubs is light entry into the Mafia genre.
Though darker things are alluded to, but even the issues discussed in the trigger list is only lightly touched on, and are in no way graphic.
Celeste Night does a wonderful job of setting up the connections in her Streets of Strathmore world. I love that it is “shown not told”. It feels really authentic.
I’d call this a slow burn, he falls first story. It’s a novella though, so you aren’t left waiting for long!
I’m looking forward to getting my hands on the next book. Luckily, they are all released and available on KU.
