Buddhism for Beginners by Thubten Chodron

5.0

Over the last few months I've been studying the practices and beliefs of Buddhism as is something that's always interested me. I've recently had more of a focus on it due to making a more conscious effort to practice mindfulness and meditation, of which I've seen plenty of positive benefits.

When i decided to look further into Buddhism, I had no idea where to start. A quick Google search later and this was one of the books that's was recommended.

I'm pleased to say I'd absolutely recommend this book to anyone who would like an outlined summery of Buddhism. It's written in a conversational, question and answer format which makes it much easier to digest. The advantage to this format is that you can skip to any partially part of the book and jump straight in without becoming totally lost.

With the help of this book, I've been able to make an informed decision as to which lineage/tradition of Buddhism is best for my lifestyle, and go in artist not totally blind.
