I cannot say enough good things about this book. Troy is such a well-written character and his journey from self conscious kid who thinks he can do nothing right to a confident, talented kid is truly remarkable. His dad as a surprise ally almost steals the show from Troy. Just by saying one word, Troy's dad shows how much he cares about his son and how much he has worried about him.
Curt is a great protagonist to Troy. He's manic, off the chain, and boy does he love Troy's dad. I would love to see a follow-up to this book to see what happens after this book ends.
I would recommend this book to any student who has any kind of confidence issues.
