I went into this book with lowered expectations after my disappointment from reading The Dragon’s Promise, but I was pleasantly surprised!
The characters are well done and nuanced, the sisters have a great bond that is shown and grows throughout the book, the plot kept me on my toes even though we have an idea of how it ends, I really liked Ukar the snake, all in all it was an enjoyable read! It almost made me want to re-read the duology with the new knowledge of Channari’s character and backstory, and how that plays into the duology’s story.
I would recommend reading this if you were a fan of the Six Crimson Crane duology.
