i wish this book was longer, but it serves its purpose: we as the readers, just like the main character, will only ever know the results and not the experiment. at the end of the day, knowing what the purpose was would only ever quell a curiosity, it would not change what has already occurred. a schrodingers story about both the clutches of men over women, and the genders divided against each other. both the authority of the guards over the prisoners, and the shared victimhood of the guards and prisoners against whoever set everything up.
