Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh

5.0

I consider myself part of the loyal legion of fans who would always check Allie Brosh's blog of the same name and hope there was a new post, which in the past few years there seldom was. However, this book that served as a 'best of' of her stories interspersed with humor, reflection, and charming child-like drawings-- along with a number of new stories. The way she describes her journey with trying to overcome depression is at the same time saddening and uplifting-- a testament to her accurate descriptions of depression. If you read her blog at all, you'll love the book. If you've never read her blog-- I'd start there before diving into the book to see if her style suits you.
