"Don't you wish you were here?"

Yes. Yes, I do. This book had me feeling so many emotions and I was dreading not having this book to live in after the end. It will be one I will go back to frequently.

Linus Baker is a social worker, who works and lives by the "Rules and Regulations". Only problem, he cares about the children.

Mr. Baker is selected to investigate the Marysas Island Orphanage and in particular Mr. Parnassus, the Master of the house. He is met by six children, all unique with personalities that had me falling in love with each of them.

The island is magical and the world building by is subtle, and yet is well executed by TJ Klune. It gives you just enough to imagine the scenery without overwhelming the character driven plot.

I will recommend this book to everyone, not only to my fellow fantasy lovers, but to anyone that wants to emerse themselves into a thought provoking world.
