In Every Mirror She's Black by Lọlá Ákínmádé Åkerström

Did not finish book. Stopped at 31%.
Initially, I absolutely loved the direction that the book was going in, especially in the portrayal of the three main characters, Kemi, Muna and Brittany-Rae. However, as I progressed I realised I wasn’t crazy about the writing style especially of Brittany-Rae’s sections. I found myself impatiently waiting for Muna’s sections as I found them the most interesting. After reading reviews saying that the ending feels incomplete, and other negative criticisms especially about
Jonny’s toxicity being attributed to his autism
, I decided to put this one down. I may finish it in the future as I was growing quite accustomed to the characters and the plot line, but I don’t want to be too heavily disappointed with the direction of the book if I finish it. :+(
