Happy Place by Emily Henry

3.0

I think that maybe it's the miscommunication for me. Wyn and Harriet are full of lust and anger towards each other in the beginning, and that's fun. Then Harriet's hurt inner monologue takes over and we hear a lot of her pain through the years... but, she doesn't talk about it. Later, we learn that Wyn wanted to hear it all (shocking, truly *cough, sarcasm, cough*).

This was a decent story and I enjoy Emily Henry, but this wasn't my favorite. I enjoy the trip down memory lane and the friendship group vacations on a yearly basis. I love the thought of keeping up a friend group like that, even though Sabrina could have laid back a little, haha.

I wish that part of this was told through Wyn's perspective. Maybe the flashbacks? I felt like it was missing something. Maybe it's the communication.
