I am going to have so many series to work through because of ApollyCon. 🤦‍♀️ The latest one added to the list is The Bromance Book Club. I mean, men learning how to be better partners by reading romance novels? Yes, please!

I love the idea of this book, and how so many men were willing to put in so much effort to make their relationships work. And the premise of the book really is just another way to show the different things that women get out of romance novels. Plus there are just some funny moments throughout the book to lighten some of the heavier scenes.

Now, the one thing I didn't necessarily like about the book - I felt like Gavin had to prove he was willing to change and learn better ways to communicate, but Thea barely had to own up to the fact that she lied to him for three years. Yes, I know many people lie about this specific topic, but to do it for three years? I don't know. It just bothered me that Gavin wasn't the only one at fault, yet he was the one really working to ensure their relationship could be strengthened and last.

Oh, I didn't really care for Liv either. I understand she couldn't support her sister because of her own trauma. But being able to understand WHY she was doing something doesn't me I ended up liking her. I don't know if she'll be a FMC in a future book, but if she is, I hope she is able to deal with her own trauma.

Ok, so even though I had two full paragraphs about things I didn't like about the book, I really did like it! I'll definitely be downloading the next book on audio once it's available from the library.
