It's very interesting to see the many different opinions on this book. I gotta say, I loved it! The main issue I had is that the pacing is somewhat slow, and at times it struggled to keep me engaged. The mystery aspect is good, but it often gets put in the backburner. However the pay-off was really worth it, in my opinion.

I loved the writing, loved all the characters, their interactions, their personalities, their flaws... except for one person.

They are just... too evil? to the point I felt it was unrealistic.

I wish they had been more morally gray, honestly.

But ugh, the last portion of the book is so good, made me gasp, made me cry! What an experience.
