A great overview of the history of rum, at times nice and in depth (loved the chapters on Medford rum and Barbados rum) and at others a great introduction to an area of study, such as the tiki drink section. It's also an entertaining read. Very few people writing on the history of cocktails can do it in such an engaging style as Wayne Curtis.
