Back to You follows the love story of Zoe and Finn who meet for the first time on New Year's Eve and hit it off immediately. However, Finn leaves to go overseas for five months to help him heal from his past, putting everything between them on hold. They still try to talk when they can but that all changes when Zoe gets into a horrible accident which leaves her in the care of her father who we learn was once an alcoholic and neglectful to Zoe. Alone in an environment which is home to many demons, Zoe must adapt to this new way of life without her beloved Finn. Finn has no idea about what happened to Zoe and upon his arrival from overseas, Finn must find out what happened to Zoe and find his way Back to Her.

I really enjoyed this one! It was super easy to read and very fast paced thanks to short chapters! Romance is not a genre I would normally pick up and I think it was just the thing I needed. The world building gave me an instant connection with Zoe and I had a lot of emotions towards what she was going through. I also felt this is how most people would react in her situation too, and to have it feel quite real was an experience. My only erk with this is a felt like the ending wrapped up way too quickly and would have loved to have seen more of Finn and Zoe's story!

Once again thank you @tandemcollectiveglobal and @hachettenz for hosting this amazing readalong by the incredible @tammyrobinson ! I love readalongs to be able to discuss different points as we go with different readers. I also loved how we got to highlight and incredible Kiwi author and thanks to that I will definitely be picking up some of her other books in the future!
