A video tape shows up with a murder spliced into it, the movie being Psycho and the murder being a reenactment of the famous murder. This starts a killer with other film murders to recreate.
The idea is good but is a bit of an average read, and the book was written in 2006, don't think many places would have been hiring out VHS cassettes, but too much thought takes away from a fast paced read best read as a popcorn thriller.
