Summer by Edith Wharton

I think my initial reaction through the book was "ALL MEN DO IS LIE! EVEN IN THE 1900S ALL THEY DID WAS LIE." Which may say more about me than it does about the book, but do with that what you will.

While this was not erotic by today's standards, compared to Wharton's House of Mirth & Age of Innocence, this was downright steamy. I enjoyed it. While I wanted to punch Charity for most of the book, my heart still broke for her repeatedly, and the ending near killed me inside. It took me about an hour and a half to read, and it was time well spent.
