The Girl with a Clock for a Heart by Peter Swanson

2.0

The book was entertaining and kept me interested from start to finish. Other than the eponymous girl, the characters were all mostly pretty forgettable, but I feel like that might have been on purpose for the kind of story the book is trying to tell. The tale of an unexceptional boy who meets an exceptional girl and becomes obsessed with her and how that goes for him.
But perhaps I am just being too generous.

In any case, I honestly would have rated it three starts out five, but the author decided to end the story with a rather bullshit cliffhanger ending instead of providing any real resolution for the last mystery or the characters' relationship. I was frankly rather put off because I had been looking forward to it.
