The pacing in this book was a little weird. Weeks and weeks went by with very little happening beyond the main characters longing for each other while simultaneous trying to avoid each other, then major life-changing events happen in the last 15% of the book that just gallop past and get barely any reflection from our protagonists. I realize the author was mostly trying to set up future books, but the characters in this book should still have been affected more. I might read another book by this author at some point in the future, but I’m not rushing out to get it right this minute.
