Not what I expected. I don't really know what I expected, but sometimes it was monotony about the animals and sometimes it was monotonous about Durrell's interactions with the higher level people he spoke with. There were some definite racial and sexual lingo/ideals, but they were both outside the behaviors of the time frame.
