I'm Glad My Mom Died
by Jennette McCurdy
challenging
dark
emotional
hopeful
reflective
sad
tense
medium-paced
I am too old and don't know Jennette McCurdy or have even heard of iCarly, so I didn't pick up the book for a long time. I really should have believed the hype and read it earlier.
The description of Jennette's childhood and the relationship with her mother (and the terrible impact both had on her even after the death of Mom) are truly heartbreaking and I am happy that she has been able to close that chapter.
So many trigger warnings...
The German translation was good and the audiobook narration was well-done!
