I've met Phillip Beard and enjoy him as much as his books. This was a wonderful story about a family who suffers a loss on September 11th, but not in the actual attacks. It's often hard to remember anything but what happened on that day, but this book brings to light the realities that life still was happening, even during that awful tragedy. Beautifully written - a real tug-at-your-heart story.
