The Wives by Tarryn Fisher
4.0

This is a fast-paced, psychological thriller about a woman, "Thursday," and her complicated marriage. Her husband, Seth, has 2 other wives that he refers to as Monday and Tuesday. Thursday has never met them and knows very little about them. She has become increasingly curious about these women, and Seth's lives with them.

I could not put this book down. I NEEDED to know what happened. The writing was fast-paced, and involved many twists and turns. Some of the plot twists were very unexpected. I actually like the very end (last page), although I know others did not.

My main frustration of the book was that I felt the main plot twist felt over-used in this genre. I can see many other reviews rated the book harshly for this. While I agree with the sentiment, I thought the delivery was done well, and am therefore more forgiving.

This is not a book that provides social commentary or makes you think deeply about any subject. HOWEVER, if you want a compelling book to bring to the beach nor on a plane, then this is a great choice.
