I'd have given this 4 stars, as Christie is an exceptional writer and I enjoyed some parts of the book quite a bit. I laughed at one character several times. But the author was right; adding Poirot to this story was a distraction. And the ending was somewhat unsatisfactory. Otherwise it's an excellent book.
